Usaburo Sato (Usaato Designer) After working as a designer for a Japanese company, Usaburo went to Europe and the U.S. to work in the creation and production of trend-setting fashions and wedding dresses. In 1994, he set off to travel the world in search of a genuine material through which the energy of Life could be felt, and in 1996 he arrived in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Usaburo continues to design and create clothing utilizing the traditional threads and fabrics woven and dyed by ethnic minority peoples in Thailand. Born in Minamifurano of Hokkaido, Japan.
